Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to many court records through the Louisiana Public Records Law. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Richland Parish Clerk of Court handles Fifth Judicial District Court filings, civil records, criminal filings, probate matters, marriage licenses, recorded documents, and certified copies. The Sheriff's Office manages law-enforcement records, jail information, and its own public-records request process. Add municipal routing for some misdemeanors and state appellate or federal systems, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each office into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
